Robert Emil Augustine, 81, of Franklin Twp., passed away on Friday August 31, 2018 at his home, with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Nello and Violet Ercolani Augustine.
Mr. Augustine was a faithful member of the Christian Apostolic Church, Hilldale and was graduate of Plains High School Class of 1954 and attended Wilkes-College.
He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army.
Prior to his retirement he worked for Consolidated Cigar and then became an agent for Prudential Life Insurance Co.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, the former Marlene Spisak and daughters Lisa Augustine, at home and Maria Augustine and her husband Wayne Baxter, Dallas, a grandson, Peter Baxter, brothers Nello Augustine, and David and his wife, Donna Augustine, all of Plains. and a sister Julie and her husband John Frateschi, Syracuse, NY, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday from 3-5pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home,LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10:00am at the funeral home with the Rev. David Fischi, pastor of the Christian Apostolic Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Burial Park, Carverton.

Thank you so much , Patty.. we feel an emptyiness right now without him here.. .. Toward the end of his life you could see how the Lord really softened his heart.. There was a transformation in him that was so nice to see. The night before he died, I was holding him and told him how if we loved him, how much more Jesus loves him... and that he should not be afraid to go to Jesus.. as He won't turn him away. He died peacefully at home. My sister was there until 3:00 am in the morning holding his hand. My mother was at his side non stop. The hospice nurse (Sacred Heart) was just awesome ... staying until 2:30 am with us.

Marlene and family - we are so sad to hear of Bobby's passing. It is many years since we have seen you all, but you are in our thoughts and prayers and may God give you His love and peace at this difficult time of loss. We are retired in California now, so it is too far for us to travel, but we are with you in our thoughts.

Dear Lisa my sister in Christ. Even though we have not met here on earth but have known you through your YouTube tunnel ( me as Redeemed by Jesus Christ) we will meet in heaven.
I am very sorry about your dad. One thing for sure is he is now part of and one of the great cloud of witnesses cheering you on. He will definitely be one of your heavenly intercessors praying for you. You will certainly see him again, and as he has gone ahead of you, when you get to heaven he will take you on a tour of heaven showing you and You mum all the nice places. His soul is resting in perfect peace.

I am sorry for your loss.I was Bob 's very first customer with prudential.he would mention this occasionally over the years.he was always very nice and helpful to me.I called him once and he said he was retired but he helped me anyway .what a very nice gentleman .sorry again for your loss.
