Jack Martin Vance, “Fingers”, age 45, a lifetime resident of Pasadena, died on March 30, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
He was born on April 29, 1967, in Baltimore. After graduating from the Frederick School for the Deaf, he worked for the US Postal Service. He loved boating, fishing and crabbing, the Ravens and Orioles, motorcycles, wrestling, movies, and playing jokes on people.
He is preceded in death by his father H. Dudley Thomas, and his former wife Pattie Vance.
He is survived by his mother Freida Thomas, of Riviera Beach; his brother Carl Vance and his wife Karen; his sister Susan Hicks, all of Pasadena; his brother Forrest Vance, of Scottsdale, AZ; three nephews: Robert Lynch, of Mardella, MD, Troy Burton, of Glen Burnie, and Steven Lynch, of Baltimore; and three nieces: Jacqueline Lynch, Casey Hicks, and Brittany Hicks, all of Pasadena.
Family requests friends visit on Friday from 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Dr, Pasadena. Those who wish may contribute to the SPCA, Millersville, MD, and you may express your condolences here as well.

Ms. Freida, Carl, Sue, Forrest and families,
I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. We will be out of state on Friday for a family wedding. Sorry that I won't be able to see you. Please know that you are all in my heart and in my prayers over the coming days.

Hello, I am sorry to hear that Jack's passing away. I knew him when I was 6 years old from Carver School for the Deaf. Jack was a nicest boy that I knew.
I will be responsible for an event this Friday evening that was planned a month ago. I wish that I could attend. My condolence goes out to Jack's family and closest friends.

My heart goes out to all of Jacks friends and FAMILY.He is in GODS hands now and he will be greatly missed.He was such a good, nice,funny,and caring friend.It is a Big loss to all of us. " Love ya JACK " and GOD BLESS !!

Ms Freida and Family,
So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I am glad I had the pleasure of knowing him for so many years. I will always remember all the years and fun we had growing up and especially our Thursday night bowling.

I tried to remember Jack Vance from Carver Sch/for the deaf in Maryland but been so long time since 1970's but sorry to hear about his death but he is my prayer and RIP Jack M. Vance

He was funny and was just an all around good guy.
