I am so saddened to hear of Michael’s passing. I was just telling my wife this week how we would sneak his moms pickles and we’ll worth the trouble we would get in. Michael was my first best friend in grade school and know how badly he’ll be missed. My prayers to all of his families. Regards Mark Derwin

I am so sad to hear of Mike's passing. We shared a lot of good times at WBRE. From our times at Red Barons games, to our road trips to Notre Dame or the laughs we shared with Jim and Sid. To Lisa and all of Mike friends and family, my heartfelt condolences.

Absolutely devastated to learn Michael has left us. So many wonderful memories of our work together in and out of television news/sports since the 1980s. I am so terribly sad for his loving wife Lisa, their daughter Mia and Mike’s sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces/nephews, Godchild Loni and all who loved him. I am so, so sorry. Rest easy, Mike.
