Lydia Burge, 73, of Wyoming, passed away on Friday June 10, 2016 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Castlevecchio, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Gino and Artemisia Gasperini Filippelli.
Mrs. Burge was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Cecilia's Church, Exeter and was a graduate of West Wyoming High School.
She had worked as a machine operator at Leitica Corporation, Pittston Twp, prior to her retirement, and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceded in death by her brother William Filippelli.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Charles B. Burge and a daughter Ann Marie and her husband Eugene King, Dupont, a son Charles and his wife Kerri Burge, Wyoming.

Also surviving are a brother Jeffery Filippelli, Wyoming and a sister Lillian and her husband Nelson Carle, Roselle Park, N.J., along with numerous nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4pm until 7 pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. Cecilia's Church, Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Burial Park, Carverton.
