Carmen J. Donato, 79, of West Pittston, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 9, 2016 at his home.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Carmen and Angela Tribbet Donato.

Mr. Donato was a graduate of Pittston High School and the University of Scranton, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
He was a U.S. Veteran having served his country in the U. S. Army  and had worked for the Bureau of Rehabilitation as a counselor for the state of Pa.
He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Exeter Post.

Surviving are his sons: John and his wife Aurelia Donato, Bedminster, N.J. ; Greg Donato, West Pittston and Jude and his wife Mary Kathryn Donato, Greenwich, Ct.; grandchildren, Jack, Audrey, griffin and Carmen.
His former spouse, Nora Roscoe Donato, Wilkes-Barre and siblings Anthony and his wife Dora, San Diego, Ca., Patsy Donato, Cape May, N.J., and John and his wife Mary Donato, Stroudsburg, along with nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday morning 8:30am until 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston. The Msgr. John Sempa, pastor will be celebrant.

Interment will be private.

I Am So Sorry For Your Loss. Carmen Was A Great Guy. Everyone Who Had The Pleasure Of Meeting Carmen Loved Him. He Will Be Greatly Missed By All That Knew & Loved Him. He Will Certainly Live On In The Heart's Of All Of Live's He Touched. Fly High Carmen.
