Bernard J. Lavin, 86, formerly of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at the Kingston Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Exeter, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Secutsky Lavin.
Mr. Lavin was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church at St. Barbara Parish, Exeter and was a graduate of Exeter High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and was employed as a foreman at the Celotex Corporation, Harding.
Preceding him in death were his brothers William, Edward, Theodore and Joseph and sisters Josephine Viater, Stella Pokorney, Bernice Tibus and Regina Marlinski.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Regina Gitautis and sons David and his wife Linda, Franklin Twp. and Daniel and his husband Michael, Wilmington, Delaware
Grandchildren Renee and her husband Steven Powers, Steven, Adam and Jeffrey, along with several nieces and nephews.
