Ermete Bernardoni, 90, of Exeter died Thursday October 10, 2013 at the Wilkes - Barre General Hospital.
Born on December 20, 1922, he was the son of the late Brutus and Felicia Staffarorri Bernardoni.
He was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II.
Ermete studied music in Italy and performed as a tenor in New York City and abroad. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Techneglas.
Earlier this year he lost his soul mate, his loving wife Ruth. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Fernanda Grilli, Vera Kolankowski, Sara Blaser; and brothers Communardo ( Babe) , Caffidro ( Caffie), Bruno, Ermete, and Junius.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday October 14, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
