Andrew Chundock, Jr., 82, of Exeter, passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Andrew Chundock, Sr. and Helen Tichko Chundock.
Mr. Chundock was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter and its Holy Name Society and Ushers Club.
He had worked for Pope and Talbot, Suscon as a receiving specialist.and was a shop steward for 20 years. He was a member of Local 1447 Papermakers Union. Andy was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Duryea VFW Post 1227 and the Lorean War Veterans of Wyoming Valley.
He was preceded in death by his wife the former Antoinette Pepe on Feb. 24, 2000 and a daughter Linda Nestorick, in 2009.
Surviving are his daughter Jacquelineand her husband George Keiper, Scranton, and granddaughter Nicole Nestorick Orr and her husband James Orr, and 5 great grandchildren; Bastianna, Sebastian, Mya, Nolan, and Cayden.
Also sisters Constance Langwasser, Old Forge and Helen Vidowski, Scranton. Also a niece and a nephew
Military funeral honors will be accorded by the AmVets Honor Guard on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. A mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial Ave., Exeter with the Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call on Friday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
