Ruth Bernardoni, 85, of Exeter, passed away on Wednesday evening April 24, 2013 at the Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospital, Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit.
Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Michaels Schultz.
Ruth was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter and a graduate of Exeter High School.
Prior to her retirement. she had worked as a bookkeeper for Sun Oil Co., the Northeast Philharmonic and at Interstate Products.
Preceding her in death were her sister Josephine Grudkowski, and a sister in law Marion Schultz.
Surviving are her husband Ermete Bernardoni, Exeter, and a brother John Schultz, West Pittston. Also nieces Brenda Schultz, West Pittston, Dolores Knizner, Az, and Penny Jurchak, Md. a nephew Robert and his wife Valerie Schultz, West Pittston and a great nephew, Evin Schultz, Honesdale.
Also surviving is her dear friend, Dr. Nancy Gilhooley,Laflin.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:30am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9;00am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St. Exeter.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
