Raymond F. Darbenzio, 82, of Exeter, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday Feb. 22, 2017.
Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen Kolojeski Darbenzio.
Raymond was a graduate of Dupont High School and attended The University of Scranton before serving in the U.S. Army.
Raymond was employed as a purchasing agent for StressSteel Corp. and Nivert Metal, Throop. He was also a dedicated volunteer at the Veterens Administration Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Preceding him in death was his son; Raymond, and sister; Laura Glowatch.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, the former Josephine Prizzi; daughter Lisa and husband Leo Giovagnoli, Oneonta, N.Y.; and brother, Frank and wife Carole Darbenzio, Dupont. Raymond was a loving grandfather to Nicholas, Bianca, and Anthony Giovagnoli. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial mass to be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in St. Barbara Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church. 224 Memorial St., Exeter with the Rev. Joseph Sibliano as celebrant. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service in the church.
