Mary R. Trasciatti, 98, of the Hilldale Sections of Plains Twp., passed away on Saturday September 19, 2015 at  the Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit of Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Philomena DiPasquale.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Plains and was a homemaker most of her life.

Today heaven gained another angel. It was just a few weeks ago that we celebrated our Mother's 98th Birthday. We feel so blessed to have had her in my life for so many years. Our Mother was so wonderful in so many ways and will be remembered for always putting others needs in front of hers. Her true passion in life besides loving the Yankees, eating chocolate and spicy foods, and cooking amazing Italian meals was her family. She was so proud of her family and the traditions we shared every year, especially our annual family reunion. We know she is finally at peace because she is finally reunited with our Dad and other treasured family members who have passed. Love you Mom! You will always be with us.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Trasciatti, in 1983 and a brother Daniel DiPasquale and a sisters Joan Bachich and  Ann Nealey.

Surviving are her children:  Daniel Trasciatti, Hilldale, and
Elaine and her husband George Slavish, Royerford, Pa..
Sisters: Grace Insogna, Fairless Hills, Pa. , Rose O’Hara, Pompano Beach, Fla.
4 Grandchildren George III ( Wendy), Stacy ( Michael) Campbell, Joseph (Liz) Trasciatti and Dianielle (Joseph) Trasciatti Holmberg.
6 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter . A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30am at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Plains with the Rev. Jack Lambert, pastor, as celebrant.
