Rita Pisaneschi, 85, of West Wyoming passed away peacefully January 30, 2019 surrounded by her two sons and daughter-in-law in the Meadows Manor Nursing Home, Dallas, where she resided the last few months. Prior to that, she resided at the Village at Greenbriar for several years.
Born in Cassarese, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Armando and Leonilda Gavazzi Pisaneschi. She resided there for the first sixteen years of her life, experiencing World War II, before coming to America. She would go back to visit two times with her husband.
She was a lifetime member of the ILGWU and was a seamstress for the Small Town Dress Factory in West Wyoming. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma, and most recently a great grandma, who dedicated her life to her family. She was a great cook who always had Sunday dinner on the table at 12 noon sharp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Pisaneschi in 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Argante and wife Michelle of Larkmount Manor; George (Dino) of West Wyoming; Grandchildren, Maria of Swoyersville, Beth of Hudson, and Mary Jonelle Menz of Wayne, NJ; and Great Grandson, Michael Menz.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with The Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi, Pastor, as celebrant.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Village at Greenbriar and Meadows Manor Nursing Home for taking such good care of Rita.
