Joseph T. Pellegrini, 83, of Exeter, passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital at the WIlkes-Barre General Hospital from a five year courageous struggle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Born in Exeter, he was the son of the late Thomas and Celia Mascolini Pellegrini.

Mr. Pellegrini was a member of St. Barbara Parish and its Holy Name Society.  He was a graduate of Exeter High School and had attended Wilkes College.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.  He was employed as a Management Analyst by the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 35 years.

Preceding him in death was his brother Elliot A. Pellegrini, Exeter.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Marion Kuklewicz Pellegrini and children. Joyce and her husband Thomas Langan, Shavertown, Carl and his wife Lynn Pellegrini, Egg Harbor Twp., N.J. Grandchildren Dominic and Angelo Pellegrini, and Kyle Langan; a sister Norma Zavada, Wyoming and a brother in law Joseph Warkala, Bear Creek and nieces and nephews.

Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  His family was the most important part of his life.

Military funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.  A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30am at St. Barbara parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter with the Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Cedar St., Exeter.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from  5-8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Social Concern Committee of the Parish of St. Barbara.
