Angeline J. Mastruzzo, 84, of West Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Carbondale, Pa, on June 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Stefano and Felicia Orlando  Pantano.

Angeline graduated from West Wyoming High School. She was a cheerleader, and a class reunion organizer.

She was a member of St. Monica's Parish at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 8th Street., West Wyoming. She also belonged to the Wyoming/ West Wyoming Senior Citizens Club and Our Lady of Sorrows Christian Mothers.

She relished her job as a wife and mother, and loved socializing with friends and family. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her houseplants, making soup, singing, and going to the YMCA for water exercise. Her homemade ravioli were a traditional Christmas treat that she and her family made together.

Angeline's greatest joys, however, were watching her nine grandchildren grow up and then becoming a great-grandmother to Serenity Rain Lemmons.

She and her late husband, “Butch” Ralph Mastruzzo, were married for 48 years and loved each other dearly.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles and sister, Mary.

Surviving are her daughters Raline Center (Larry), Brentwood, TN, Marie Brandow (Roger), Sacramento Ca. Lora Troy (Richard) and son Ralph Mastruzzo West Wyoming Pa. and grandchildren Adrianne, Gregory, and Nathan Center, Angela, Vanessa Brandow, Serena Lemmons, Zachary, Hannah, and Amy Troy and great granddaughter Serenity, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00am  from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church of St. Monica's Parish, West Wyoming. The Rev. Leo McKernan, pastor, will be celebrant.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Angeline’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Wilkes Barre General Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center and Dr. Greenwald and associates for their kindness, wisdom and compassionate care shown to her in her final days. They are also grateful for all those who prayed fervently for her. Angeline courageously fought the battle against cancer for the last 1 ½ years. Donations, if desired, may be made to the Astrazeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society, 110 W. Laurel Ave. Cheltenham, PA 19012
