Melvin Anthony Niemiera, age 91, a longtime resident of Riviera Beach, passed away at his home on September 5, 2018.
He was born on May 8, 1927, in Baltimore, to the late Beatrice and Tadeus Niemiera. During WWII he served in the US Army in Italy. After the war, he went to work in the steel manufacturing industry, retiring as a machinist supervisor. He was also a long time member of St. Jane Frances Church.
Along with his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his three brothers: Edward, Thomas, and Bernard Niemiera; and his two sisters: Josephine Karwoski and Frances Wizbicki.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years: Maria Niemiera; his sister Veronica Zielke of Baltimore; as well as many family members and friends.
Family requests friends visit the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Jane Frances Church on Monday at 11 AM. His interment is private.
