Lea Anne “Momma Lea” Porter, age 71, a resident of Laurel, Delaware, and previously of Pasadena and Cockeysville, suffered a cardiac arrest on October 16, 2017 in Laurel.
She was born on June 13, 1946, in Baltimore, to the late Anna Marie “Mamie” and Stephen T. Spear, Jr. A graduate of Edgewood Senior High School, she held several jobs over the years, but her all time favorite held the title “Momma Lea” to many. As the family matriarch, she was many things to so many people. She loved the beach, the birds, arts and crafts, and sewing, and when she sat down at the keyboards, she could make the piano weep.
Along with her parents, Lea is preceded in death by her sister Mary M. Seaman; and her niece Mary Sandra “Sandy” Wojiechowski.
She is survived by her two devoted sons: John G. Pack, Jr. and his wife Stacey, of Parkville, and Christopher J. Pack and his wife Dixie, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania; her loving companion Michael Dorsey, of Laurel, Delaware; her two dear brothers: Stephen T. Spear, III and Michael T. Spear, both of Joppa; her beloved granddaughter Olivia Jean Pack, of Stewartstown, PA; her cherished neighbor and brother in law Gordon “Lucky” Seaman; and four wonderful step grandchildren.
Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, 21122 on Friday from 7 to 8:30 PM, at which time her funeral service will begin. Her committal service at graveside will begin on Saturday at 10 AM in Meadowridge Memorial Park. Feel free to express your condolences below as well.
