Ruth Mary Sagan, age 94, a resident of Baltimore for four years, passed away at Oak Lodge Assisted Living on September 29, 2017 after a three year illness.
She was born on March 20, 1923, in Baltimore, to the late Katherine and Joseph White. After graduating from high school, she went to work as a control clerk for the social security Administration, in both the Woodlawn and Greene St. offices. She enjoyed gardening, bingo, and travelling to the casinos.
Along with her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years: Frank Joseph Sagan, Sr., and her son Frank Joseph Sagan, Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Stern and her husband Lloyd H. Stern, Jr., of Baltimore; her devoted son Paul Sagan, of Pasadena; four grandchildren: Donna Lee, of Pasadena, Ben Sagan, also of Pasadena, Shannon and Tiffany Sagan, of Florida; and her great grandson Avel Sagan, also of Florida.
Ruth will be buried next to her husband in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, in a private service. Those who wish may feel free to express their condolences below.
