Mary Lydia Day, age 94, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, passed away on September 10, 2017 of natural causes.
She was born on November 8, 1922, in Baltimore, to the late Dolores and Frederick Bouchard. She worked as a telephone operator and also owned a business in Pasadena. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and loved to travel and read.
Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years: Herbert M. Day; two brothers: Charles and Robert Bouchard; and her sister Louise Miles.
She is survived by her loving son Gary Day and his wife Sheryl, of Lewes, Delaware; her granddaughter Nicole Bahmani and her husband Shaahin, of Kent Island; two grandsons: Tyler Day and his wife Thirza, of Hanover, and Dylan Day, of Queenstown; her great grandson Lincoln Bahmani, of Kent Island; and her two sisters: Rosemarie Green, and Yvonne Cotham, both of Pasadena.
Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, 21122 on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Wednesday at 11AM, with Deacon Michael Dodge officiating. Her burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery at 12 Noon.
