Mary Anna Brown, age 77, a resident of Pasadena for 64 years, and previously of Baltimore, passed away at her home on August 19, 2017 after suffering from cancer for 17 years.
She was born on September 22, 1939, in Baltimore, to the late Catherine and Frank Wodka. She attended St. Michael's through high school, and then continued her studies at St. Stanislaus Business School. She worked at Rite Aid for two years, and at Leedmark for two years, and for the Anne Arundel County Public School system for ten years. She enjoyed shopping and watching QVC, and doing ceramics during her earlier years.
Along with her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years: John J. Brown, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Angela Heck, and her son John Brown, Jr.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, at which time the procession will leave the funeral home to go to St. Jane Frances Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 Noon, with Father Anthony Abiamiri officiating. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and have her remains entombed with her husband in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:30 PM.
