June Edna Billings, age 72, a resident of Glen Burnie for 40 years, passed at Hospice of the Chesapeake on July 2, 2017 after suffering from Cancer of the Pancreas for two months.
She was born on May 23, 1945, in Baltimore, to the late Edna and William A. Cavey. After finishing high school, she worked for many years at the Alford Packing Company. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel International Worship Center in Severn. During her free time she enjoyed coloring, wordsearch and puzzle books, and of course, spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, June is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years: Edward W. Billings; her daughter Deborah Billings; her brother Richard W. Cavey, Sr.; and her sister Joan Barracate.
She is survived by her daughter Veronica Howell and her husband Shane; five grandchildren: Lily, Joey, Carley, Molly, and Henry Howell, all of Pasadena; seven nieces: Nina and Meghan Cavey, of Landsdowne, and Maggie and Victoria Smith, of Pasadena; Jen, Katelynn and Dee Breeden; and four nephews: Richard Cavey, Jr., of Landsdowne, Clyde Smith, Jr., of Belleville, Illinois, Wayne Breeden and Leroy Propst.
Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, 21122 on Thursday from 3 to 6 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Friday at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Francis Duodu officiating. Her burial will follow in Baltimore National Cemetery.
