Joan Frances Gardner, age 77, of Pasadena, passed away on February 11, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson.
She was born on August 23, 1939, in Baltimore, to thelate Leona and Stanley J.Wasilewski. She graduated from the Catholic High School of Baltimore in 1957, and then graduated from St Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1960, and retired as a Registered Nurse from Fort Howard VA Hospital. Her marriage to Franklin Delano Gardner ended in divorce. She loved taking care of her Yorkies, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Augustus Wasilewski, her sister Rita Gertrude Wasilewski-Murray, and her beloved children Kimberly Judith Gardner, Theresa Karen Gardner, and Jeffrey David Gardner Sr.
She is survived by her brother Bernard Donald Wasilewski, and her two sisters Bernice Mary Martin and Antoinette Valerie Meuchel, and was the proud and loving grandmother to Jamie Lynn Rebman and her husband Joshua Arno Rebman, Jeffrey David Gardner Jr and his wife Angela Taylor Gardner, Matthew Paul Gardner, Ryan David Gardner, and Brett Franklin Gardner; and the devoted great grandmother to Natalie Faith Dougherty, Briana Nicole Rebman, Jocelyn Riley Rebman, LillianMichele Gardner, Olivia Lucille Gardner, Zayden Wade Gardner, and Kylie Paige Gardner.
The family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Thursday from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Friday at St. Jane Frances Church. Her entombment will followin Holy Rosary’s Cemetery.
