Gilbert F. Murphy, "Gil" age 83, a resident of Pasadena, passed away at his home on October 1, 2016.
He was born on November 3, 1932, in Baltimore, to the late Stella and Cornelius Murphy. He worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric, and was an avid reader and traveler.
Gil is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years: Joan Murphy; his two daughters: Kim and Kelly Murphy; his son Mark Murphy and his wife Cindy; his grandson Mark J. Murphy; and his brother David Murphy.
The family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday from 3 to 9 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 AM to go to a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be held at 10 AM in St. Jane Frances Church, with Monsignor Carl Cummings Officiating. Thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time! Uncle Gil is at peace and no more pain. I will remember the good times especially standing at end of driveway counting heads in our car and directing my dad onto the road!! Such a good man. RIP Uncle Gil!

Mrs. Joan, Mark, Kelly, and Kim, we are so very sorry for your loss. Mr. Gil was one of the nicest end we've ever known and we always enjoyed his humor. Much love to all.
