Hilda L. Turchetta died where she wanted to – at home - on Thursday, 23 June 2016, following a loving, virtuous life. She was 85 years old. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she centered her life on her family and her religion. Quiet and unassuming, she was her family’s foundation. Born on October 2, 1930 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Mittendorfer and sister to Agnes. She moved to Pasadena, Maryland with her husband and two daughters in 1961 where she remained as a long time resident. She loved taking care of her house and family. She enjoyed cooking, Russell Stover chocolates, flowers, particularly spring magnolias, and her favorite color was blue. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Turchetta. Hilda is survived by her eldest daughter, Kathy Brown of Pasadena and her youngest daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Dave Voigt of Millersville; and her five grandchildren, Eric and wife Amy, Justin, Adam Brown and Erin and Katie Voigt.
