Peter J. "Bud" Junge, Jr., age 93, a resident of Pasadena for 34 years, and previously of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away on May 11, 2016 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake after a brief illness.
He was born on July 18, 1922, in Nyack, New York, to the late Helen Munn and Peter J. Junge, Sr. A veteran of WW II, he served in the US Army from October of 1942 until October of 1945 as a corporal in the European and North African Theaters. He worked as a plant manager for Shasta Beverages, and was a member of the Lion's Club, and served as a Eucharistic Minister while living in North Dartmouth, MA. Upon moving to Pasadena, he became a member of the Knights of Columbus, and St. Jane Frances Church, where he served as an usher. He enjoyed woodworking, and of course, spending time with his family and friends.
Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years: Eileen (nee Sullivan) Junge; his four loving daughters: Susan J. Varrone and her husband Edward, of Silver Spring, MD, Barbara Wilson and her husband Robert, of North East, MD, Margaret Lederman and her husband Bruce, of Dalton, MA, and Patricia Piva and her husband Phil, of Sandwich, MA; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Jane Frances Church on Tuesday at 11 AM. His burial will follow in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville.
