Margaret Clatchey Blake, "Peggy" age 86, a resident of Riviera Beach for 57 years, died on April 3, 2016 at her daughter's home in Virginia after a three month illness.
She was born on June 16, 1929, in Baltimore, to the late Ruth and Lawrence Clatchey. She served for a longtime as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Jane Frances Church, where she was a member, and was also a member of the St. Jane Frances Ladies Sodality.
Along with her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years: Herman Joseph Blake; three sisters: Mary Broening, Ruth Miller, and Jane Johnson; and four brothers: Burgess, Sam, Mike, and Don Clatchey.
She is survived by her loving daughter Peggy Anne Blake and her husband Jim, of Atlantic, Virginia; her brother Pat Clatchey and his wife Virginia, of Baltimore; her brother in law Frank Blake and his wife Bev, of Riviera Beach; many nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews; three great great nieces and one great great nephew.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Saturday to go to St. Jane Frances Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating.
