Daniel P. Corey, Sr. of Berlin Md, formerly of Pasadena Md, passed away at his home on January 4, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 54 years: Betty Lee Corey; brother Albert, sisters Rose, Ellen and Isabel, mother Mabel and father Daniel.
He is survived by his son Daniel Jr., his wife Anne, daughter Melissa Haddad, husband Taurik, great grandchildren Maria, Laith, and Zaid, daughter Michelle, husband Daniel, and great daughter Dani, grand son Shawn and fiance Whitney; his loving daughter Kathleen, husband David, grandson Brian and his new wife Kristy; his sister Mabel Zwobat, and brother Arthur Corey, his wife Vera along with lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Born on January 27, 1928 on his family farm in Pasadena he was a WWII veteran Merchant Seaman, serving in both the North Atlantic and the Pacific. He had a successful nearly 5 decades long career in the automobile industry retiring as owner/president of Timonium Chrysler Plymouth Dodge, Jeep. He was an original season ticket holder for the Baltimore Colts, and devoted Orioles and Ravens fan. He enjoyed golf and travel with his friends and family. The family would also like to say thanks to his great friend Jim Carter who was always around when he/we needed him and to David his faithful ballgame companion.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 1-3 at the Gonce Funeral Home in Rivera Beach Md. His funeral service will follow immediately at 3 PM.
