Sophie Wilkins, age 100, a resident of Charlestown Retirement Community for nine years, and formerly of Pasadena, passed on February 12, 2015 at her home.
She was born on December 31, 1914, in Baltimore, to the late Frances and Frank Wojciechowski. A homemaker and mother, she was a member of the Baybrook Seniors, and enjoyed ceramics, crochet, bingo, and cards, and was a big fan of the Orioles.
Along with her parents, Sophie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years: John T. Wilkins, Sr; her grandson Gregory Wilkins; four brothers: Andrew, Frank, James, and Edward Wojciechowski; and two sisters: Elizabeth Clark and Jenny Jakabowski.
She is survived by her son John T. Wilkins, Jr. and his wife Dorothy; her grandson Garry Wilkins; two granddaughters: Danielle Leimkuhler and Darlene Galentine; all of Pasadena; and six great grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 AM to go to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in St. Jane Frances Church at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the Charlestown Benevolent Fund, and feel free to express your condolences here as well.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Sophie's passing...wow...100! She was loved by many, and as I remember her, she was a wonderful person...May she rest in peace with her brothers and sisters...
