Marjorie Dell Taylor, (nee Edie), age 92, a resident of Pasadena for 68 years, and formerly of Hampden, passed at her home on October 26, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 24, 1921, in Baltimore; to the late Mary Ada and Chester Irwin Edie. One of three children, she graduated from Seton High School, and went on to marry and have seven children. Along with homemaking, she worked selling Dutchmaid clothing for 19 years. A volunteer and long time member of St. Jane Frances Church, and the Ladies Sodality, she attended the first Mass at St. Jane's when it was first built in Riviera Beach. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cards, wine, steamed crabs, and the Baltimore Orioles.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years: Ralph Donald Taylor; her son James D. Taylor; and her sister Gloria Higdon.
Marjorie is survived by her three daughters: Nancy T. Buckel, Patricia M. Henderson, and Jane F. Taylor; her three sons: Richard W., William J., and John D. Taylor; her brother Kenneth Edie; 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM to go to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in St. Jane Frances Church at 11:30 AM, with Monsignor John Auer officiating. Her burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Those who wish may donate to the American Lung Association, and feel free to express your condolences here as well.

SPATHIPHYLLUM was sent by Sean, April and Jenna. Bill (Pop Pop) and Mom (Grandmom), sorry for the loss of Bill's mother. Although we never met her she looked sounded like an amazing woman and mom. May she rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Let us know if you need anything.
