John Joseph Anthony, age 74, a resident of Pasadena for 35 years, died on September 14, 2014 at his home after a 15 year illness.
He was born on March 19, 1940, in Baltimore, to the late Mary "Tibby" and Luke Anthony. After high school, he joined the US Air Force, serving from March of 1959 until December of 1963. He went on to attain his Master's Degree in Accounting, and started his own firm - Anthony's Tax and Accounting Business, and also worked for the State of Maryland. He was a big fan of the Ravens and Orioles.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years: Wendy Anthony; his three sons: Sean Anthony, of Nevada, Yancy Anthony, and Lance Anthony, both of Maryland; his daughter Sherae Lonick, of Maryland; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Thursday from 11 AM until 1 PM, at which time his funeral service will begin, with Deacon Robert Vlcej officiating.
