Cecelia Catherine Schreiber, "Celie" age 90, a resident of Pasadena for 59 years, and previously of Locust Point, died on July 17, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after suffering from complications of surgery.
She was born on February 1, 1924, in Baltimore, to the late Viola and Stanley Godlewski. After attending Southern High School, she worked as a purchasing agent for the Westinghouse Company for 32 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, cooking; country music, her dog Lucy, and taking care of her family.
Celie is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years: Vernon Schreiber; her two sons: Dennis Schreiber, of St. Mary's County, and Rick Schreiber and his wife Gale, of Pasadena; her granddaughter Rana Smith and her husband Tim, and great-grandson Dax Arthur Smith, all of Pasadena; and her sister in law Helen Godlewski, of Severn.
Family requests friends visit on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home.
