Miriam S. Fowler, age 83, a resident of Glen Burnie for 23 years, and formerly of Annapolis, died suddenly on April 22, 2014 at Johns Hopkins Bayview.
She was born on January 24, 1931, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, to the late Alma and Claude Lenhert. After attending Westminster High School, she studied at Trebecca College for two years. She then worked as a banquet waitress for 30 years at Hilton Hotels. She enjoyed baking, making her own jams & jellies, camping, crocheting, and of course, taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Miriam is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years: James E. Fowler; and two sons: J. C. Fowler and Jimmy Fowler.
She is survived by her four loving daughters: Linda Saiz, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Judy Bragg, of Ferndale, Kathy Dawson, of Baltimore, and Myrtle Fowler, of Cleveland, Ohio; her dear son Gary Fowler, of Lothian; devoted brother Phillip Lenhert, of Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Family requests friends visit on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM, after which the funeral procession will leave for the committal service in Lakemont Memorial Park.
