Mary G. Wernig, “Gerry”, age 88, a resident of Riviera Beach for over 60 years, died on April 30, 2013 at Gilchrist Hospice care.
She was born on December 26, 1924, in Baltimore, to the late Margaret and John Patrick Kehs. For 55 years she was the proud owner and operator of Gerry’s Beauty Shop. A member of St. Jane Frances Church, she enjoyed bus trips to the casino, bingo, and ball games.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years: Joseph Wernig, and her loving granddaughter Shelly Sewell.
She is survived by her three daughters: Gerry Collison and her husband Frank, Rose Marie Manning and her husband Tom, and Jo Ann Sewell and her husband Jack, all of Pasadena; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her funeral service will commence at 11 AM on Monday, with Deacon Robert Vlcej officiating.
