Carol Gasper, 68, a resident of Pasadena for 38 years, died on April 23, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
She was born on April 15, 1945, in Hazleton, PA, to Helen and the late Joseph Catano. After graduating from high school, she enjoyed continuing her studies, and took many college courses. She was employed as an office manager in the maritime field, and most recently, was “happily retired.” A member of the St. Jane Frances Sodality, she was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching Fox & Friends, and public television. She loved traveling Europe and elsewhere, knitting, online games, cooking, gardening, visiting casinos, attending Mass at St. Jane Frances Church, and of course, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years: Ed Gasper; her three daughters: Laura Kreiger, of West Virginia, Michelle Sauers, and Wendi Martin, both of Pasadena; her son: Joseph Gasper, of Pasadena; her mother Helen Catano, and sister Mary Hauze, both of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren: Jacki and Devin Martin, of Pasadena, and Zakary and Jeremy Kreiger, of West Virginia.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for her on Friday at 10:30 AM in St. Jane Frances Church, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating. Following Mass, a Memorial Gathering will be held at the funeral home until 12:30 PM. Those who wish may contribute to St. Jane Frances Church, 8499 Virginia Ave, Pasadena, 21122, and feel free to express your condolences online here as well.
