Catherine Frances Seifert, “Kitty”, age 90, a resident of Linthicum for 13 years, and previously of Riviera Beach, died on February 23, 2013 at Brightview Assisted Living in Catonsville.
She was born on April 23, 1922, in Baltimore, to the late Frances and John J. Smith. After attending Glen Burnie High School, she married and worked as a homemaker and mother. She volunteered in the auxiliary at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, and was a member of the Homemaker’s Club and the Riviera Beach Community Improvement Association. She enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and camping.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years: James Warren Seifert.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Morgan and her husband Charles, and her grandson Kevin Morgan, all of Linthicum.
Family invites friends to visit on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, at 10 AM on Thursday, with Father Michael Murphy officiating. After Mass, she will be buried in New Cathedral Cemetery, with her husband. Those who wish may contribute to Mt St Joseph High School, or to Gilchrist Hospice of Towson.
