Teresa Pauline Newell, age 84, died of natural causes on September 10, 2012 at Charlestown Retirement Community.
She was born on August 10, 1928, in Baltimore, and attended St. Martins High School. Teresa was a 45 year resident of Riviera Beach, until she moved to Charlestown Retirement Community three years ago. She worked as the secretary for St. Jane Frances Elementary School in Riviera Beach for 30 plus years until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph Raymond Newell, and her son Timothy Paul Newell.
She is survived by her son Michael Newell and his wife Roseann of Queenstown; her daughter Barbara Copeland of Pasadena; three sisters: Anne Rutkauskis and Barbara Davis of Pasadena, and Lillian Caplins of Huntingtown; four grandchildren: Megan Newell, Nicholas Newell, Wyatt Newell, and Olivia Copeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family invites friends to visit on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in St. Jane Frances Church, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating. Her burial will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park. So sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Newell. I have many great memories of her being the secretary at St. Jane''s. She was always so sweet. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Newell was my "go-to" person when I began teaching at SJF.
She also gave me hope when raising my own three. She was truly

Michael and Barbara, I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mother, I remeber her most when we all lived down on Wicklow Road she was the most kind hearted person and always a joy to be around.
