Violet L. Hinkle, age 86, a lifetime resident of Orchard Beach, died on April 10, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
She was born on July 7, 1925, in Baltimore, to the late Clara A. and Roil F. Geisler. After the seventh grade, she went to cosmetology school to learn a trade. She then worked in hair salons until after she got married and had two children. She enjoyed bingo, dogs, puzzles, and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years: George J. Hinkle, Sr., and her brother George Geisler.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Hinkle and her son George J. Hinkle, Jr., both of Orchard Beach; her sister Rosalie Evans of Trappe, MD; and three brothers: Brian Geisler, of Conway, SC, John Geisler, of Orchard Beach, and Robert Geisler, of Lombardi Beach.
Her funeral will begin on Saturday at 11 AM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. Her burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Family requests friends visit on Friday from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Feel free to express your condolences here as well.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Please know that your District Court family holds you in their prayers. We so enjoyed hearing Cathy''s stories about the daily adventures her and her mother had together. It is our hope that those are the memories that you all carry with you.
