Nickolaus W. Magyar, 98, a resident of Pasadena, died on January 30, 2012 at the Tate Hospice House after a long illness.
Born December 31, 1913, in Baltimore, to the late Wendel and Barbara Magyar, he retired from Glen L. Martins in 1969, where he was employed as a mechanical engineer. During his time there, he was granted several patents.
He enjoyed his retirement years with his beloved wife Margaret snowbirding in Florida and playing tennis into his 90’s.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mary Allen and Barbara Lange.
He is survived by his two daughters: Carol Erat and Barbara Cohen and her husband Ron, and one son Michael Magyar and his wife Tove; eight grandchildren: Randy, Scott, and Tom Bailey; Cyndi, Deborah, and Phil Cohen; Maren and Alex Magyar, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 AM at St. Jane Frances Church. Procession to the church will leave the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, at 9:30 AM. Family requests friends visit on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake. You may also express your condolences here.

Sorry to hear of Uncle Nick's passing. I will always treasure the childhood memories of him and Aunt Margaret. I really wish Martin could have known him. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
