Philamena Mary Nucci, (nee Gilberto) age 82, a resident of Pasadena for 54 years, and previously of Baltimore, died on November 8, 2011, of natural causes.
Born April 22, 1929, in Baltimore, to the late Domenic and Clara Gilberto, she became a beautician and homemaker after high school. She belonged to the Order of Sons of Italy Lodge, and loved painting, reading, cooking, and bowling.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years: Ormo Frederick Nucci, (shown with her here) her brother August Gilberto, her sister Clara Wiegand, and her granddaughter Amanda Runyon.
She is survived by her daughters: JoAnna Mahan, of Pasadena, and Jamie Runyon, of Berlin; her son William Dowell, of Pasadena; her stepdaughter Dina Miller, of Fallston; her stepson Sam Nucci, of Florida; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday 11/10/11 from 3 pm until 5 pm, and again from 7 pm until 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Jane Frances Church on Friday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
