Geraldine Ann Herold (nee Dunn), “Gerry” a Riviera Beach resident for the past 53 years passed away peacefully, November 12th, 2018.
Gerry was born in Baltimore, MD on October 24, 1930, to the late Edward and Elizabeth Dunn. She met her husband, Edward F. Herold, Sr. of East Baltimore and were married for 59 years. They moved to Pasadena in 1965 to raise their family.
Gerry is survived by her husband Edward Francis Herold; her sons, Edward Francis Herold, Jr. of Annapolis, and Joseph George Herold and his wife Sonia Herold of Pasadena; her daughters, Margaret Marie Nappi and her husband Thomas Nappi of Pasadena, Teresa Elizabeth Lowery and her husband Dean Lowery of Poquson, Virginia, and Patricia Ann Herold of Annapolis; Grandchildren: Megan and Michelle Nappi, Robert and Mathew Lowery; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Gerry was a homemaker who provided a warm and nurturing life for her family. Gerry also worked at the Baltimore City Court House as an office clerk. Gerry was a devout Catholic and a devoted member of St. Jane Frances DeChantel Parish, attending mass daily. She felt blessed to be part of this church that was comprised of life-long family and friends who raised their families together, vacationed together and supported one another throughout their lives.
Gerry enjoyed indulging in scratchoffs, watching the Orioles (not so much when they were losing), family gatherings, beach time at Fenwick Island, and spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren.
Preceding Gerry includes her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Dunn, her sisters Nancy McNeir and her husband Edward McNeir, her sister Ellen Schillenberg and her brother Edward Dunn and his wife Jackie Dunn.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM on Friday in St. Jane Frances Church, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating. Her interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Feel free to express your condolences below as well.
