Jennifer Alexander Tunney, 55, passed away on August 14th 2018, with her family by her side in Pasadena, MD after an arduous struggle with colon cancer.
Perhaps the greatest accomplishment is to have left the world a better place than you came to it. To we who now mourn her here on earth, Jennifer gave to us wonderful memories, beautiful people, and artful creations that continue to enrich our lives every day and strengthen our souls with the courage of her spirit and the legacy of her love.
Jennifer was born September 18th, 1962 in Baltimore, MD to Robert Kenneth Harvey and Carol Maltby Harvey. She and her sisters were raised lovingly by their mother, Grandmother Pauline Maltby, and Uncle Tyler Maltby in Riviera Beach, MD where they spent their winters playing in the snow and skating on the pond and their summers swimming and crabbing in the Stoney Creek.
Jennifer studied Art and graduated from Anne Arundel Community College. She was an accomplished artist, a licensed general contractor, a master upholsterer, and an award-winning horsewoman. She worked in various trades throughout her life and in recent years she earned success as a Kitchen Designer for The Home Depot. Her greatest loves were her family, her mother, sisters and brother, nieces and nephews, and especially her three children and four grandchildren. Her interests included gardening, sailing, decorating, horses, and flower arranging.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Carol Harvey, her sisters, Elizabeth Harvey, Cynthia Harvey Corbin, Sarah Harvey, and Rachael Zangrilli Horvath, her brother Jacob Zangrilli, her children Elizabeth Pellegrini, Michael and Jenny Tunney, and Joshua Peters, and her grandchildren, Nicolas, Tyler, and Lilliana Pellegrini, and Owen Tunney.
Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Friday from 7 until 9 PM, and Saturday morning from 9:30 until 11 AM, at which time her funeral service will begin, with her burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
