Bryan Edward Higgs, Sr., age 58, a resident of Pasadena for 40 years, passed on May 8, 2018 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.
He was born on August 28, 1959, in Annapolis, to Edna Elaine and the late Albert Beryl Higgs. After graduating from Annapolis Senior High School in 1977, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving proudly as an infantryman/sharpshooter with the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Division until 1983. Upon his return from the military he worked in construction and tile flooring, and during his free time he enjoyed shooting in his pool league, and was a big fan of the Ravens and Orioles. Bryan has finished his journey and has joined his father Albert Beryl Higgs and his stepfather Gale Onza Cole.
He is survived by his loving mom Edna Elaine Cole, of Annapolis; his two devoted sons: Wayne Warren Higgs and Bryan Edward Higgs, Jr. and his wife Rebekah, all of Pasadena; five grandchildren: Dylan, Daphne, Hannah, Farah, and Bryan, III, all of Pasadena; two stepchildren: Paul and Kimberly Clark, both of Annapolis; his two brothers: Barry E. Cole, of Pasadena, and Bruce E. Cole, of Columbia; his three sisters: Brenda L. Higgs, of Crofton, Bonnie L. Higgs, of Riva, and Becky L. Lammers, of Davidsonville; his three stepbrothers: David Cole, of Annapolis, Virgil Cole, of Rogersville, Tennessee, and Henry Cole, of Westminster; his two stepsisters: Mable Lawson, of Rogersville, Tennessee, and Shirley Hale, of Pasadena; and is also survived by his 11 nieces and 14 nephews.
Family requests friends visit the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Monday from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 PM. Another hour of visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 AM, at which time the procession will leave for Hope Chapel Cemetery in Edgewater where a graveside service will be held at 12 Noon, with Rev.
