Edward Franklin Miller, Jr., “Pop” age 82, a resident of Pasadena, passed on April 3, 2018.
He was born on May 18, 1935, in Baltimore, to the late Margaret and Edward Miller, Sr. He worked as the meat department manager for Acme Markets for over 40 years. During his free time he enjoyed pigeon racing, mall walking, going out to dinner, watching TV, especially judge shows, and spending time with his friends and family.
Along with his parents, Pop is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years: Isabel Miller, who passed in 1999; and his four sisters: Catherine Slater, Myrtle Tansill, Dolores Padgett, and Lorraine Smith.
He is survived by his devoted son Edward Miller, of Baltimore; his two loving daughters: Kathleen Getty, of Pasadena, and Christine Silate, of Glen Burnie; his three grandsons: Richard Wilbourne, of Salem, NH, Jeremy Getty, of Glen Burnie, and David Miller, of Baltimore; his three granddaughters: Amy Smith, of Pasadena, Lori Miller, of Hanover, PA, and Carley Wilbourne, of Baltimore; and seven great grandchildren.
Family requests friends visit on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. His funeral service will begin on Friday at 1 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Ben Umberger officiating. His burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
