Zandra Louise Sanders, age 81, a resident of Annapolis for 31 years, passed away of cancer on February 2, 2018.
She was born on July 13, 1936, in Portland, Maine, to the late Leila and Maurice Watts. After moving to Maryland, she graduated from Glen Burnie High School, class of 1954. She was a homemaker who worked various jobs while raising her family, and during her free time she enjoyed travelling, opera, gardening, volunteering, history, reading, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and friends at the shore house.
Along with her parents, Zandra is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Watts.
She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 64 years: Edwin L. Sanders; her loving daughter Victoria Robison and her husband Robert, of Salisbury; her two devoted sons: Matthew Sanders and his wife Cindy, of Annapolis, and Christopher Sanders, of Omaha, Nebraska; her four granddaughters: Megan Cloutier and her husband Brian, of Denton, Michelle Robison, of Salisbury, Kristen Sanders and Allison Sanders, both of Annapolis; her grandson Michael Sanders, also of Annapolis; and her great grandson Daniel Cloutier, of Denton.
A private graveside service will be held for Zandra at the Cedar Hill Cemetery on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1 PM, with Rev. John Taylor officiating.
