Mary Louise Cadogan, age 87, a resident of Sykesville for 10 years, and previously of Sunset Beach for 52 years, passed peacefully in Carroll County Hospital on April 18, 2017.
She was born on April 29, 1929, in Baltimore, where she attended the Institute of Notre Dame. She worked as schoolteacher in St. Jane Frances School, and also as a doctor's assistant. A long time member of St. Jane Frances Church, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years: Ralph Cadogan; her sister Theresa Kirchner, and her brother Stanley Kirchner.
She is survived by her son Ralph "Steve" Cadogan and his wife Barbara, of Sykesville; her two daughters: Theresa Kafritsas and her husband Milton, of New Windsor, and Lisa Miner, of Brooklyn; seven grandchildren: Stephanie Vann, Becki Campitelli, Tanika Mauck, Stefanie McLallen, Jeremy, Joshua, and Heather Miner; and four great grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday in St. Jane Frances Church, with her burial to follow in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville.
