On February 16th, 2017 Marian Ruth Skillman died at her home in Riviera Beach, MD with her family present.  She was born March 4th, 1925 in Terra Alta West Virginia and moved to Baltimore, MD in the 1940’s to search for work. She met her future husband at Maryland Port where both were working.


She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years Robert E. Skillman Sr.  She is survived by two sons and daughter in laws. Robert Edward Skillman Jr. and wife Regina of Ellicott City, Md, and Thomas Harvey Skillman and wife Sharon  of Pasadena, Md. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and  six great grandchildren.


She was a volunteer at South Baltimore General Hospital in Baltimore, MD and Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md for many years. She was  an avid reader, a wonderful cook, an accomplished seamstress.  She will  be fondly  remembered for her kind, gentle and quiet manner, as mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
