Evan W. Evans, "Nip" a resident of Pasadena for 61 years, and formerly of Baltimore, died on December 3, 2016 at the age of 96.
He was born on February 5, 1920, in Baltimore, to the late Dell and Evan Evans. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy in 1941, serving until 1944 aboard a destroyer during WWII. He worked as a manager in automobile sales, and during his free time he enjoyed fishing and boating.
Along with his parents, Nip is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years: Myrtle L. (Gerick) Evans.
He is survived by his loving daughter Evanette A. Olsen, of Baltimore; his granddaughter Sherrie Hannon and her husband Mike, of Pasadena; his great grandson Mike Hannon, Jr. and his wife Kerrie, of Dover, Delaware; his great granddaughter Becky Keith and her husband Matt, of Pasadena; and five great great grandchildren: Mike Hannon, III., Thomas, Hunter, and Jacob Hannon, and Bayleigh Keith.
The family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM. The family will hold a private graveside service on Thursday in Gardens of Faith Cemetery, with Pastor Doug Alberts officiating. Feel free to express your condolences below.
