Richard Lee Hall, "Dick" a resident of Edgewater, Maryland, died at his home on November 30, 2016 at the age of 63.
He was born on February 7, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa, to the late Mary (Bohl) and Francis Carroll Hall. Following his graduation from Mount St. Joseph High School in 1971, he entered the Police Academy, and served as a police officer for the Anne Arundel County Police Department for more than 23 years, retiring as a corporal. He enjoyed the water, boating, and after obtaining his pilot's license, flying small aircraft. He was a fan of NASCAR and the Baltimore Orioles, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #70.
Along with his parents, Dick is preceded in death by his two sisters: Eileen Angel and Jane Cooke.
He is survived by his daughter Chrissy Murphy and her husband Johnny, of Tilghman, Maryland; his son Tony Hall, of Scottsdale, Arizona; his two grandsons: Teegan and Gavin Murphy, of Tilghman; three brothers: Bill Hall and his wife Renie, of Pasadena, Bob Hall and his wife Julia, of Charleston, South Carolina, and Jim Hall and his wife Jeannie, of Freeport, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and his faithful, trusted companion "Kaelyn", his Black Labrador.
Family requests friends visit on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. His funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM Sunday, during the evening visitation hours.
