Bernadette C. Fischer, age 80, a resident of Berlin, and previously of Pasadena, died on November 1, 2016.
She was born on September 16, 1936, in Baltimore, to the late Naomi and Alexander Bone. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Notre Dame. She taught at St. Jane Frances de Chantal School in Pasadena for 31 years. She enjoyed swimming, the beach, watching the Ravens, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Bernadette is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 18 years: John N. Desverreaux, Jr.; her beloved husband of 39 years: George L. Fischer; and her sister Naomi Smith.
She is survived by her five children: Barbara and her husband Charles, John and his wife Debbie, Carol and her husband Stuart, Robert and his wife Denise, and Jacquelyn and her husband Geoffrey; 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Lindsey, Jonathan, John IV, Amanda, Katie, Alexander, Emily, Ethan, Kayla, and Lexi; and two great grandchildren: Carrick and Rose.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 12:30 PM to go a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 1 PM in St. Jane Frances Church. Her burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Bernadette C.
