John E. Reed, "Papa John" age 68, a resident of Pasadena for 39 years, died on February 21, 2016 at his home.

He was born on January 14, 1948, in Baltimore, to the late Elvira and Elmer Reed, Sr. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic, and enjoyed building things in his workshop. What he most loved was spending time with his daughters and grandchilden.

Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister Elma Petway; his brother Elmer Reed, Jr.; and his daughter Lisa A. Reed.

He is survived by his three daughters: Christy A. Reed, of Pasadena, Lori A. Warren-Reed, also of Pasadena, and Nikki L. Reed, of Baltimore; two sisters: Elvira Lucus, of Baltimore, and Dorothy Fewster, of Sarasota, Florida; his brother Thomas Reed, Sr., of Martinsburg, West Virginia; and seven grandchildren.

Our father was the most loving, caring person we've ever met. He would do anything for anyone, especially his three girls. He was the one person who could make you laugh and keep you smiling. This man was more than our father; he was our world, and although he is no longer physically with us, our memories of him will keep him here with us in our hearts until we meet again.
