Marie Antoinette Dunlap, age 72, a resident of Severna Park for 47 years, died at her home on February 1, 2016 after a five year struggle with leukemia.

She was born on April 22, 1943, in Baltimore, to the late Marie Grace and Frank Joseph Culotta.  A graduate of St. Mary's High School, class of 1961, she was employed by NSA for a number of years then stayed at home with her three children. She worked as a real estate agent for Grempler Realty; became proprietor of Bergers Colonial Restaurant from 1980-1985, then worked as payroll manager at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She retired completely in 2009. She was a member of the Fort Meade Garden Club and a faithful Al-Anon member for 33 years. She enjoyed baking, gardening, reading, and spending time helping and caring for others. She had a big time love of family.

Along with her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her brother: Albert Culotta.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years: Paul T. Dunlap; three daughters: Robin A. Hein and her husband, August, of Pasadena, Paula G. Dunn and her husband, Anthony, of Linthicum, and Annie M. Treat and her husband, Thomas, of Burlington, Vermont; five grandchildren: 1st Lieutenant Christopher J. Hein and his wife, Mary, Lauren M. Hein, Cole, Carly, and Jack Treat; three sisters: Marion Hall, Betty Nevin and her husband, Billy, Mary Wellein and her husband John; three brothers: Vincent Culotta, Frank Culotta and his wife Linda, and John Culotta; her sister in law, (Albert's wife,) Ronnie Culotta; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her great granddog "Peach."


Family requests friends visit on Thursday and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Fields Church. Her burial will follow in Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to The St. Jude Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 - and feel free to express your condolences here as well.
